A Warm Welcome

Well hello!

This blog is a long time coming and I am excited to get things rolling. I’ve been reading blogs for over a decade now and love the sneak peek into someone else’s career, experience or thoughts. I love a good recipe, a good mama tip or a good old story to make me laugh or cry. I hope to provide that here. See, I am a nurse midwife. I’ve been a midwife for five years and was a labor and delivery nurse for 6 years before that. I’ve only ever worked in obstetrics, or labor and delivery, and it’s the best job in the world to me. I’ve shared as many laughs as I have tears. I’ve been awake at the wee hours of the morning more than I can count (and more than my husband would like). I’ve had every body fluid expelled or catapulted in my direction or onto my body. I’ve heard the first cries of hundreds of babies as they made their entrance into our big, bright world. I have a whole host of ideas for how to use this platform to reach women and midwives, but ultimately, to help make midwifery the standard of care in the United States. I can’t wait to get started. In the mean time, please look into the ABOUT section or drop me an email in the CONTACT section. Subscribe below to get updates on new posts. Looking forward to the journey ahead together…
